Wendy Galloway OAM – President
Wendy first became enthralled with symphony orchestras and the music they play back in her Sydney student days. She was a member of the Sydney Youth Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra and a regular participant in National Music Camps. Her career as a violinist and teacher as well as an adjudicator and examiner spans many decades in Melbourne and Sydney as a well as Sweden and Illinois USA. Since coming to live in Geelong she has been a key member of many fine music organisations including Music at the Basilica, Geelong Friends of the MSO and the Geelong Chamber Music Society. Wendy is certain that Geelong has the fine, qualified and experienced orchestral musicians to ensure that the Geelong Symphony Orchestra will continue to be an integral part of Geelong’s transition into a vibrant, cultured and artistic city as we proceed through the 21st century.
